Hometown: Algonquin, Illinois
Alyssa is a May 2012 graduate of Valparaiso University's highly regarded meteorology program and is happy to be forecasting the weather here on the High Plains at Storm Search 7! She was also taught at Valpo by current Good Morning America weekend meteorologist Ginger Zee, so she was taught by one of the best in the industry! Alyssa has storm chased while attending Valpo and has already witnessed several tornadoes while doing so. She plans to put her expertise and knowledge to use here on the High Plains both during severe weather season and throughout the year in trying to forecast our tricky and quirky weather patterns that we witness daily. You can see Alyssa on weekends here on Storm Search 7 and also Monday-Wednesday on Midday (11am) and on Pronews 7 @ 5.
