Hometown: Canadian, Texas

Kale Steed began his broadcasting career nine years ago right here at Pronews 7. He interned for several months in the Sports Department learning under the great Lee Baker.
Kale then moved on to another local station as a news photographer, before moving to Lubbock.

He worked at KCBD Channel 11 in Lubbock for 7 years as a news and sports photographer. He was lucky enough to travel to multiple Bowl games for Texas Tech and covered Big 12 Tournaments along with NCAA Tournaments, for the Tech Basketball Teams.

He then worked at KJTV the Fox affiliate in Lubbock as a Sports Photographer traveling with the Lady Raiders and working on the Kristy Curry Show.

Kale then moved back to Amarillo as a reporter for KVII Pronews 7. He has been here a year and a half and says he loves it, and wouldn't want to do anything else.

He enjoys playing golf, racquetball, basically anything having to do with sports. Watching any sports event also takes up a bulk of his time.
