Winterizing your home

As we approach the winter months in the panhandle, Frank’s Repair Plumbing would like to remind you to winterize your home before the first big freeze to avoid a chilly bind.
If we are expecting the temperatures to drop below freezing, especially for a few days, remember to leave a slow drip in your faucets and keep the cabinets open to allow heat to reach the pipes.
Also, take care to insulate any outdoor faucets by wrapping them with a towel or blanket.
And finally, if you are able, get a head start and get your heating and air checked before the weather hits to avoid the rush when it does.
