COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- * Today at 10 a.m. the University of Phoenix will conduct a Headstart class at Rogers Elementary School to help combat the growing problem of obesity in children. There is a 70 percent chance that overweight children will become obese adults. Simple exercises and nutrition tips are the focus of today's class. The goal is to teach children healthy habits at an early age. Students will get "wellness totes" that contain jump ropes, pedometers, water bottles, healthy snacks and children's books that showcase healthy and fun activities.
