Colorado will be the first state to legalize the use of marijuana.

The state unofficially passed Amendment 64. The amendment makes Colorado the first state in the United States for recreational purposes.

Marijuana will be soon regulated like alcohol by the state. That means the state can create taxes and a regulation system.

Anyone older than the age of 21 would be allowed to possess and use up to one ounce of the drug.

In Colorado, there are already more than 100,000 people who legally use maijuana for medical reasons.

Washington state also passed a similar measure.
