It's like a hangover remedy...before you get the hangover.
Scientists are in the process of developing a pill that could actually help keep you sober. They're calling it the "stay sober" pill. Studies conducted on mice to test the effects of the drug show that even after being fed enough alcohol to get the mice "tipsy", the mice didn't show any signs of intoxication. Because humans and mice respond similarly when under the influence of alcohol, the "stay sober" pill could be taken before you drink and you can basically forget about getting drunk (and all the after effects that come with it).
But, whether you like the idea or not, researchers say it could be a long time before the pill hits the market.
