Childress, along with the Texas Forest Service, broke ground Wednesday for a new multi-million dollar sports complex.

The 600 acre facility in Estelline will have beginner to expert trails for dirt bikes and ATVs and will feature a snack bar, RV hook-ups, a parts shop and other amenities.

The land for the complex was paid for by a grant from the state.

Two of the trails should be open by Dec. 2008, and the project is expected to be completed in two years.
