Potter County Sheriff Brian Thomas speaks on the most recent drug bust
AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Its been several years since the Potter County Sheriff's Department has assigned a special operations division, for highway drug intervention.
They did for one day, and they have already seen results.
So why has it been so many years since Potter County worked on highway drug busts?
Sheriff Brian Thomas sat down with Pronews Seven and said they just haven't had the man-power, but that they're looking forward to doing more.
Thomas said, "It's great for one guy to out out there, and on his first stop have a seizure.You know the whole reason for that, is we want the drugs and the bad guys off the streets. And whatever we can do to do that is what we're going to try to do."
