Several themed homes on display
AMARILLO, TX -- To showcase glitz, glamor, glass, and a whole lot more, a few dozen fine Amarillo houses are on display on the parade of homes. This year, 23 builders created 34 homes that anyone with a five dollar ticket can see.
If you're in the market for a home, or just checking out remodeling ideas, the homes have themes. Some have tuscan style -- an inspiration from the name of the street it's on, Tuscany Village.
It features granite counter tops, hardwood floors, and exposed wooden beams. "well, it makes you feel at home when you walk in the door, the colors are very neutral, it just has a good feeling when you walk in the door," said Boyd Johnston, the builder.
If you missed the weekend of the 18th, don't fret - the parade's open again the 23rd through 26th.
