AMARILLO, TX -- Winter weather is coming soon, and if you follow some simple steps you can save energy and winterize your home. Atmos energy and Panhandle Community Services held the last of a series of meetings on Thursday night, to help families do just that.
Their top three tips: make sure your water heater isn't on its highest setting, make sure you seal off heat loss areas near windows and piping, and make sure to change that filter for your central heating.
If you do all this, Atmos says you can save 10 to 20 percent on your energy bills.
