AMARILLO, TX -- The Amarillo Independent School District is now providing a career exploration service for students in grades seventh through twelfth.

'Bridges' is an online program that helps students explore a wide variety of career options and helps them make a plan to achieve their goals.

"We feel like the sooner that a student can begin planning -- the better off. So, if we waited until high school, for example, you might miss some of those opportunities that you could have taken advantage of in middle school -- you know classes you can take for high school credit," said Renee Burnam, Career and Technology Counselor.

Students can access this service from school or home and is available at all Amarillo ISD schools.

Career guidance is also being offered to students in elementary schools.
