DUMAS, TEXAS -- The City of Dumas Commissioners to discuss the possible name change of McDade Park.

One item on the commissioners agenda was a previous proposal to change the name of the cities crown jewel park.

The park includes splash pads, Olympic sized pool, concessions and many picnic facilities. Many events, including Dogie Days, Candy Cane Lane Christmas lights and other events.

Kim Campbell, relative to Noel McDade, spoke against any change to the park's name. Campbell said the family had not been given any notice of the commissions desire to change the name of McDade Park.

There was a call for a motion on the subject and it died for lack of a motion. The meeting was televised live on Channel 11.
