AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Enrollment figures for Amarillo College show that enrollment is slightly down compared to last year, officials announced Wednesday morning.
According to AC, the 12th-class-day enrollment for the fall semester is 11,426. At the same time last year, enrollment was 11,451, less than a quarter of a percent more than this year.
"We're holding steady despite dramatic changes in the registration process this year," Vice President of Student Affairs Bob Austin said.
For the first time, Amarillo College said it did not allow students to enroll after the first day of class. It said its new registration policy is one of the College's initiatives to increase student success.
