LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) - A West Texas man who hid more than $78,000 in clothes in his bedroom closet has been sentenced to seven years in prison for dealing cocaine.

A federal judge in Lubbock on Thursday sentenced 35-year-old Gabriel Aguilar of Big Spring. Aguilar in October pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute cocaine.

Big Spring police in December 2011 searched Aguilar's home and recovered nearly 2½ pounds of cocaine and the cash. Investigators say a pistol, plastic scales and other drug-related items were also recovered.
