City of Fritch has two developments on a Boil Water Notice while the public works fixes pipes that burst due to the freezing temperatures.

The public works director, Aaron Zink, has called for the Vinson development and the Sanford Estates area to boil their water prior to consumption.

Zink says that water customers should bring water to a rolling boil for two minutes to kill harmful bacteria and other microbes, before using water for drinking, cooking or making ice.

City authorities will issue a similar notice when the public water system is fixed.

For questions and concerns for Fritch residents call city hall at 806-857-3143.

For other concerns about the overall water system, contact Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) at 512-239-4691.
