AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Due to an increase in patients, the Family Care Clinic has created a bigger facility to help better serve Panhandle residents.

"We decided to go ahead and build a new facility that would accommodate our growth that we've had and be able to serve, not just Carson County, but the surrounding counties as well," says Dr. Holly Jeffreys.

Patient increase wasn't the only reason for the upgrade. Jeffreys also wanted to make it more convenient for local residents."It's better than having to drive 30 to 45 minutes away like out of town because if you have to go to Amarillo, it might take a longer time, and going to Pampa is just as long," says Tessa Stearns.

The new facility, located off Highway 60, will replace the old location at 421 Main St. A ribbon cutting ceremony will take place Thursday night. The clinic is expected to start taking patients by Monday.
