In October, Meredith Keller and Steve Myers were given the honor to travel with the Veterans and ASY to Washington D.C. and take part in the Honor Flight. This is your chance to read what this trip meant to each of them and why it was so important to each of them. Now read their accounts of the trip, and read more about each story in their own words.

ProNews 7 shares war veterans stories and writes a new chapter with them on a trip to our nation's capitol on the America Supports You Texas, Honor Flight.
Join us to witness our veterans receiving forgotten honors, remember comrades, and hear tales of survival. Watch ProNews 7 in a series of stories that honor all who have served, beginning Veterans Day, November, 11th at 10:00pm.

 

Nov. 11- Honor Flight overview: Join us as we take a look at the Veterans' trip to the capitol and we'll visit the Marine Monument and speak with some Marine Vets.
Nov. 12- Cleatus' Story: Cleatus
 Lebow was one of only some 300 survivors of the infamous USS Indianapolis, which sunk in shark-infested waters. 
Nov. 13- Honor Flight preview: We will take a look at the stories still to come.
Nov. 14- Doris' Story: Doris joined the Army at the age of 14, she served for two and a half years before her secret was found out. 
Nov. 15- Scott's Story: Scott is a veteran of the Gulf War. At this time a monument still hasn't been built to honor those who served in that war. We will find out how one veteran feels about that.
Nov. 16- Korean Monument: Not only will we visit the Korean Monument but we also spoke with veterans of that war, and what it meant to them to be able to visit the monument.
Nov. 17- Navy and Vietnam Monument: A look at the two monuments and hear from Vietnam Vets as well as Navy vets.
Nov. 18- WWII Monument- A moving story of the monument, and hear from the surviving veterans of the war as they revisit their memories.
