Santa's helpers are working early this year. Saturday was the annual Eveline Rivers Christmas Project benefit to help raise donations for those children less fortunate in our area.

"The bells of the Salvation Army were beginning to ring and that put you in the Christmas spirit and I thought, you know, I want to do something", said Eveline Rivers. "So I thought, one family, one time and I'd be done."
