Back in 2007, the Texas Tech Health Sciences Center renamed their Women's Health Research Institute, to the Laura W. Bush Institute for Women's Health. Monday at the Ritz-Carlton in Dallas, the university and the institute hosted a luncheon to honor Bush for her efforts in women's health issues.

The last time the city of Amarillo updated it's business sign ordinance was back in 1968, so city staff presented Amarillo's city commission with a presentation about sign trends and what concerns have arisen with the current rules in place.

It's one of Cannon Air Force Base's most prestigeous and emotional ceremonies, the changing of command. This is the first change of command since the base's mission changed, and the 27th Fighter Wing was replaced by the 27th Special Operations Wing (SOW), back in October of 2007.
