In a time when families are bouncing back from the economy, many are still looking for ways to save a little cash that's painless.
Looking for ways to save, I found some great tips that everyone can benefit from.
First, say goodbye and hello to cable.
Do a three in one package deal. Get your cable, internet and telephone service from the same place. But do it by getting what's called a teaser rate. When the company decides a few months later to raise the rate, insist you'll change companies if they don't keep that same rate.
Pick the right credit card.
Look for credit cards that have 0 percent interest rates and the highest rewards. But don't allow yourself to go out and buy up the whole store.
Next, play the travel game.
Planning to travel, take the time to look at several websites to find the best price. It takes some time, but the reward, means more cash in your wallet. Look at Priceline.com and Hotwire.com.
Coupons, Coupons, Coupons.
Look at coupons and ways you can save. They even have coupons for restaurants and yes, even gas. All it takes is the patience to look around the wide world of the internet and find those details. Many times you can even go to the company's website to find them.
Buy knockoffs.
You don't have to have the brand names for everything you own or eat. Often, this rule alone with save you hundreds of dollars.
All these tips are sure to save you hundreds and maybe help put a little money in your pocket that you can save to buy a couple tanks of gas or splurge and take your family on a vacation this summer.
