LAWRENCEBURG, KY -- A case of a mistaken address led police to a Kentucky teenager who allegedly scored a pot deal over the internet.

19-year old Garrett Bryant admitted to arranging to buy a pound of marijuana from a California person he met playing Xbox Live online.

Bryant had the contraband sent to him under the false name David Smith, but it was sent to the wrong address.

Lawrenceburg police officers say the person who did get the package opened it without checking the name on the package. When he did, he discovered the marijuana and called police right away.

Officers say Bryant admitted to police he paid $2,300 for the pot and was hoping to sell it to help his mother pay bills.

No word on what charges Bryant faces.
