Owner of Leal's chosen for state-wide EDC

AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Governor Rick Perry announced today he has appointed Victor Leal, of Canyon, to the Texas Economic Development Corporation. The Texas EDC supports the programs and activities of the Governors' Division of the Economic Development and Tourism.
Leal is owner, manager and CEO of V/ Leals' Management and Leal's Mexican Restaurants. Leal is also a former mayor of the Texas Panhandle town of Muleshoe. Leal has served on many different boards including the Texas Restaurant Association, National Federation of Independent Business, Amarillo and Muleshoe chambers of Commerce, Texas Senate Committee on Long Term Health and Insurance among with many others.
Leal will replace Jane Juett, also from Amarillo, at the pleasure of the governor.
