AMARILLO, TEXAS -- You may have noticed some traffic congestion on I40 the past few days as crews worked to patch the center eastbound lane between Washington and Ross.

Today the crews are set to work on both the eastbound and westbound lanes.

Further down the road on I40 near Grand crews are working to finish the concrete barrier. Once complete, it will mark the beginning of another major overlay project, much like the one on I27.

This project will include both eastbound and westbound lanes between Arthur and Eastern Street and will close up to two lanes at a time until completed in mid-September.

Two bridge projects that have a lot of interest include the one at FM 22-19 and the 24th street bridge near Thompson Park, which, are set to be finished sometime this fall.
