CANYON, TEXAS -- Residents of Tanglewood, Timbercreek Canyon, and the Palisades will have to wait until next year to vote on a tax .that would possibly get EMS and fire services in their community.

Randall County Commissioners today said the reason for the delay on the vote is that the public was not given enough time to prepare for today's public hearing.

So for now folks have a little more time.

ProNews 7 sat down with Randall County Judge Ernie Houdashell who said, " What we voted to do today is on our first meeting in October we're going to have another public hearing to let people tell us if they want it on the May election of 2010, so that's what we did. We missed the November election we're going to be dealing now with the May election."

Houdashell added that the time given was only 21 days and was just not enough time.
