Fast-food chains sued as Chile outlaws happy meals

Chile's children are obese and their legislator created a law to take toys out of fast-food meals. They plan on extending laws to other food products that market toys to children.
Fast-Food toys and obesity are linked?
Are children getting fat because they are eating food that includes a toy? Should fast-food meals, cereals, and other food products remove the toy?
