AMARILLO, TEXAS -- A 26 year old has been indicted on capital murder and aggravated assault charges in the April shooting deaths of two people.

On Wednesday a Randall County grand jury indicted, Wilbert Ramon Banks.

He is responsible for the shooting deaths of Stephanie Beard and Daniel Brittain, both 24, who let the killer's estranged girlfriend stay at their home.

Authorities believe banks went to the couple's Amarillo home looking for his girlfriend who is also the mother of one of his children.

Prosecutors allege that after shooting Beard and Brittain, Banks then held a gun to the former girlfriend's head threatening to kill her as well.

Banks later surrendered in nearby Potter County where he remained on a million dollar bond.
