Not many people hit the poles early

AMARILLO, TEXAS -- The first day of early voting was slow, not many people found their way to the ballot boxes.

Only 79 people showed up to cast their ballot on the first day of early voting in Potter County. The have received 184 ballots by mail and other means as of Tuesday morning. Slightly more people in Randall County hit the polls early, 158 people cast their ballots yesterday.

Early voting will continue through October 30th. In Randall County, people can vote at the Randall County Justice Center in Canyon or the Annex on Georgia. Potter County voters can cast their ballot at the Santa Fe building downtown or at the Avondale Shopping Center in suit 1761.
