AMARILLO, TEXAS -- November starts National Adoption Month, and it's a time to celebrate all the adoptions in our area...

Along with a way for folks to ask questions and talk about adoption. ProNews Seven spoke with one family in the panhandle today who couldn't have more than one child.

So they became foster parents and then found little April. They adopted her and expanded their family.

Catholic Family Services says it's something they're dedicated to.  April's is very fortunate to have the parents that she has. Karen and Harold are fortunate to have April. We often time see God's hand at work in adoptions," said Holly Campidilli, the adoption and foster care administrator for Catholic Family Services.

"It's a dream, it's a dream come true for us, we love children, we like to have kids, it's a lot of fun." said both Karen and Harold Aurtho, April's parents.

There are 75 children in Potter and Randall counties that do need homes.  If you would like more information you can call 345-7908 or click on the link at the bottom of the screen.
