According to the Texas Department of Public Safety on Monday morning on TX 152 East of Pampa a Chevy Pickup and a Ford Pickup collided. 46-year-old Ronnie Ledbetter of Pampa was travelling East on 152, Jeffery Fraley 38 of Mobeetie was travelling West. Ledbetter's Chevy drove onto the wrong side of the road into Fraley's lane of traffic. Ledbetter's vehicle struck Fraley's pickup on the front left. The two vehicles then skidded off the main roadway.

Ledbetter was pronounced dead by Justice of the Peace Kurt Curfman. Ledbetter and Fraley were wearing seatbelts. Fraley is in the Pampa medical center in stable condition. The weather was wet surface and foggy. It is unknown at this time why Ledbetter's vehicle traveled onto the wrong side of the road.

Gray County fatal accident

Posted by Blair Wilson, Amarillo - Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at 5:38 p.m.

I am in shock over Ronnie's death, his nephew, Curry Brecht, who was killed almost 8 years ago, and his sister, Blakni, are two very great friends of mine, and I got to have the priviledge of meeting their uncle Ronnie, at Curry's funeral. Ronnie was something special, and he will be sorely missed by all of us, he was a very kind, and a gentle soul. Blakni, Kathy, I am so sorry for your loss, and to all of the Brecht, Ledbetter, and Riley families, I am so sorry for your tragic loss, my heart, prayers, and thoughts are with you all, in this tragic time. I know how much Ronnie meant to you, and I am here for you whenever you need me.
