AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Some deserving kids from Cal Farley's Boys Ranch got a little help Sunday from a Panhandle organization getting in the holiday spirit. The Lions Club treated 45 students, all 12 years old and younger, to a shopping spree at Sears.
The 38th annual Coat and Shoe event, provided each kid with 2 hundred dollars worth of shoes, coats, and other clothing necessities.
"Cal Farley's makes a lifetime commitment to the children we serve, and our campus programs, and as anybody with children knows it takes a lot to raise a child and every little bit helps," said Jennifer Harker, Communications for Cal Farley's Boys Ranch.
The Lions Club donated around 85 hundred dollars to provide the clothing for the youngsters from Boys Ranch.
