A Pampa man was hit by a car and killed Saturday, November 14th.

Saturday, evening a car was travelling east on SH 152, the driver Aquilino Levia-Mejia was on his way to Pampa. Some cattle were loose on the road. Mejia was travelling in the inside lane and swerved to miss the cattle. The car began to skid and hit 68-year-old William Earnest Kirkham, and a parked car.

Kirkham and his wife acting as good samaritans had stopped to help remove the cattle from the road when the crash occurred. Kirkham was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash at 8:39 p.m.

Mejia suffered no physical injuries from the crash but was transported by ambulance due to his mental and physical reaction to the crash. Mejia was released before being admitted into the hospital.
