BORGER, TEXAS -- On Saturday, Borger Police were called to the corner of 11th and Jim Hall Street on a report of gunshots fired. When officers arrived they found multiple victims with varying injuries.
Officers determined that 24-year-old Celestino Orona suffered a gunshot wound to the face. Other victims at the scene include 17-year-old Michael Niavez, who was unconscious and unresponsive, 17 year-old Oshtemo Fernandez with multiple lacerations and head trauma, and 26-year-old Irene Niavez, who also had head trauma.
Orona was transported to University Medical Center in Lubbock. Both Michael Niavez and Irene Niavez were transported to Northwest Texas Hospital for treatment. Fernandez was transported to Golden Plains Community Hospital in Borger where he was treated and released.
The current medical condition of the victims was unknown at the time of this Press Release.
Borger police have charged 25-year-old Joshua Dean Cunningham with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Police are still on the look out for Cunningham.

The investigation is ongoing at this time.
