(AP) -- ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - A 19-year-old Rio Rancho man has been indicted for tampering with evidence and conspiracy to tamper with evidence in connection with the death of a 20-year-old woman.

Police had said Christopher Midyette would face murder charges in the death of Brittni Carlini, whose body was found in burned and buried on a Rio Rancho mesa earlier this month.

The Bernalillo County District Attorney's Office says it has no evidence that directly implicates Midyette in Carlini's murder.

If convicted on both counts, Midyette could face four-and-a-half years in prison.

Carlini, Midyette and 19-year-old Ryan Vigil of Albuquerque argued Nov. 5 about a snowboarding trip. Vigil later died after hanging himself in jail.

Midyette is accused of hiding Carlini's vehicle with Vigil to avoid arrest.
