CARSON COUNTY, TEXAS -- A DPS trooper arrested a California man for possession of a controlled substance. On Thursday the trooper stopped a vehicle in Carson County near Conway. The driver of the vehicle Carmen Lomeli was traveling to Oklahoma City. During the stop the trooper asked for and was given consent to search the vehicle.

The search revealed a hidden compartment stuffed with 3,742 grams of methamphetamine. The drugs were valued at $340,522. Lomeli was booked into the Carson County Jail for possession of a controlled substance.
