Plane that went missing left from Amarillo airport

PORT MANSFIELD, TEXAS -- One body has been found among the wreckage of a small aircraft that went missing Thursday night near Port Mansfield, Texas.

Pronews seven has receieved unconfirmed reports that Harvey Kinikin from Amarillo and Jim Robinette were aboard the plane when it went off radar around 10:30pm Thursday night.

KGBT-TV, our sister station in Harlingen spoke with Willacy County Sheriff Larry Spence who confirmed the body of Robert James 'Jim' Robinett has been recovered.

Federal Aviation Administration spokesperson Lynn Lunsford said the Coast Guard and Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) found parts of a plane, a duffle bag and paperwork in Laguna Madre, near the coast of Texas.
