PAMPA, TEXAS -- On Sunday, Pampa Police along with Deputies from Gray County were all sent on a chase through the south side of the city. Officers had attempted to stop the white Lincoln Town car for a traffic offense in the 900 block of South Huff. The vehicle finally came to a stop when it crashed in the alley between the 1200 block of S. Dwight and S. Christy. The wreck caused damage to a gas meter and a dumpster.

The driver of the vehicle fled on foot and evaded capture. During the search for the suspect Pampa police located an active methamphetamine laboratory in a shed in the 1200 block of S. Dwight.

Detectives responded to the scene to investigate and clean up the methamphetamine laboratory. It is not known if the vehicle pursuit is related to the methamphetamine laboratory. No charges have been filed in connection with these incidents; they remain under investigation.
