AMARILLO, TEXAS -- The Hazel Kelley Wilson Banquet Hall was packed Tuesday night as WTAMU hosted a special screening of 'Temple Grandin' an HBO film featuring the life and innovations of Temple Grandin.
Grandin has autism, and despite growing up in a time when most didn't understand the condition she was able to revolutionize the cattle industry and how cattle are humanely treated.
"It's a celebration of Temple, I mean she is an exceptional person. She is a different person, there is a line in the movie where somebody says she is different not less. She really is, and I think it's a movie that kind of inspires hope for everybody to kind of achieve the things they want to," said Paul Lister, Executive Producer, HBO film 'Temple Grandin'
The film premiered February 6th on HBO; which stars Claire Danes as Grandin.
