STRATFORD, TEXAS -- A former Stratford teacher will not face charges after allegation of alleged misconduct were reported.

The teacher offered her resignation to the school, it was to be effective at the end of the year.

But after that resignation, school officials learned of student misconduct allegations and notified police.

District Attorney David Green tells Pronews 7 that no charges will be filed in this case. He says because the student was 17, they were of legal age of consent here in Texas. The woman was also not a teacher at the student's campus, so no laws were broken.
