AMARILLO,TEXAS -- Early Thursday morning, a Harley Davidson motorcycle was southbound in the 1700 S. Western in the left hand lane. A Honda was northbound and the driver crossed the center double yellow line and hit the motorcycle.
The driver of the motorcycle, 43-year-old Rodney Wade Goldston, was taken to a local hospital with a severe leg injury.
The driver of the car fled on foot from the crash. A suspect that matched the driver's description was later found around Tascosa High School. Police arrested 23-year-old, Amy Lee Chandler she has been booked into the Potter County Detention Center on a preliminary charge of intoxication assault with a motor vehicle causing serious bodily injuring.
The investigation is still ongoing.
