High speed chase ends with arrest of Dalhart man

DALHART, TEXAS -- A Dalhart man is arrested after sending authorities on a high speed chase in Dallam County.

On Saturday morning, around 3am, a Highway Patrolman working in Dallam County, was in the city of Dalhart when a motorcycle was traveling over the speed limit on FM 297. The trooper attempted to stop the motorcycle but the driver wouldn't stop resulting in a pursuit. The motorcycle continued on FM 297onto west US 87. After a short pursuit the motorcyclist stopped.

The driver, James Wolf, 25, was placed under arrest. He was booked into the Dallam County jail for evading arrest in a motor vehicle, a state jail felony punishable by 180 days to 2 years in jail, and a $10,000 fine.

Dalhart PD also assisted in the pursuit and arrest of Wolf.
