AMARILLO, TEXAS -- UPDATE: Around 2:00 pm Thursday afternoon officers were called to the Fort Williams Military Surplus and Supplies Depot at 703 N. Williams, on a suspicious death.

When officers arrived, they spoke with witnesses who had found one of the co-owners dead inside the fence line of the property.

Police say they found a 63-year-old white male, who appeared to have blunt force injuries to his upper body. Special Crimes was called to the scene to investigate the death. It does appear that the man was struck by a blunt object several times.

The identity of the man is not known, and won't be released until the next of kin can be notified.

Justice of the Peace Debbie Horn, responded to the scene and ordered an autopsy be performed on the victim in Lubbock.

The incident is under investigation, and investigators have no known motive for the homicide.
