This evening in Clovis, voters will decide whether or not to give the green light for a $16 million school bond issue.

The money will pay for the district's part of the proposed new middle school, it will also help fund the renovations of five elementary schools. The Clovis School Board, chose the site for the new middle school in their meeting last Thursday. The school will be built on the northwest corner of Wilhite and Thornton streets.

The school system says if the bond passes, taxes will remain the same. If it fails home owners would see some tax savings.
