SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) - Ski Santa Fe is postponing the opening of this year's ski season until Dec. 10.

Resort officials traditionally try to open around Thanksgiving but a shortage of snow is hampering efforts this year.

Meanwhile, snowmaking crews and snow guns have begun operations and resort officials say new snowfall could lead to an earlier opening day. They say with a significant storm, grooming crews are geared to have the mountain ready within 48 hours.
