CANYON, TEXAS -- Pronews 7 spoke with WTAMU Athletic Director Michael McBroom. He said the school had no comment regarding the indictments. He said scholarships are given on a year-to-year basis so until the judicial process is finished, he will not know if the two current players and students will return for their senior season.

Four West Texas A&M University men's basketball players have been indicted by a Randall County Grand Jury.

District Attorney James Farren told Pronews 7 the Grand Jury returned the indictments Wednesday.

Joseph Anthony Mincey, a former player whose eligibility has run out was indicted on one count of Burglary of Habitation. Ladarius Voya Hall whose eligibility has also run out was indicted on a charge of tampering with physical evidence.

Courtney James Carr and Gregory Isaiah Grant, Jr., both soon-to-be-senior players, were also indicted on a tampering with physical evidence charge.

The charges stem from the alleged theft of electronic devices during a May incident, Farren said. The items were allegedly taken during a party at the popular college apartments, Legends Apartments.

Mincey was charged on May 6 and the others were charged May 10 after further investigation.

Pronews 7 contacted WT's Athletic Director, Michael McBroom, but calls have not been returned.

We will continue to follow this developing story.
