AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Are gas prices driving you insane? United Supermarkets in the Texas Panhandle are offering promotions for cheaper gas prices.
Stop by any United Supermarket location in Amarillo, Canyon or Pampa and earn a promotion when you spend $25 or more. A five cent discount per gallon is given when $25 to $49.99 is spent in the store, $50 to $99.99 results in a 10 cent per gallon discount, $100 to $149.99 earns a 15 cent discount and $150 or more gets a 20 cent discount per gallon.
United Supermarket General Manager Dustin Kile said the promotions have been popular and customers have been pleased.
"We all know right now's a tough time in our economy," he said. "And we wanted to find a way that we could help out and give our guests a break on that gasoline price."
The Free Fuel Promotion continues through Oct. 18.
