AMARILLO, TEXAS -- A 62-year-old man was killed Wednesday afternoon after his vehicle was struck by another car, police said.

According to police, Joe Hunt, 63, of Amarillo was driving southbound at around 5:20 p.m. Wednesday on FM 1912 in a 2007 Hyundai Elantra when he was struck by a 2010 Chevy Camaro.

The Camaro was driven by a Douglas Dubose, 90, of Pampa.

Police said Dubose drove his vehicle left of center and the front of the Camaro struck the driver's side of the Hyundai. Dubose was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Hunt was pronounced dead at the scene. Upon arrival of emergency officials, he was being given CPR by citizens.

An autopsy has been ordered.

The investigation continues and police said alcohol was not a factor in this crash.
