CLARENDON, TEXAS -- A Clarendon woman is now in jail facing charges related to the death of her grandson last year.

Gayle Eads was indicted on Wednesday by the Donley County Grand Jury for injury to a child by omission.

Donley County Sheriff Butch Blackburn told Pronews 7 Eads failed to get medical attention for 4-year-old Chance Mark Jones last January.

The child's father, Robery Babcock remains in jail on a capital murder charge for the beating death of Jones.

Eads faces five to 99 years or life in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.
