AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Police are investigating an armed robbery from Monday evening at Rags II Riches.

Amarillo Police responded to the store, located in the 800 block of North Hughes, at about 7:20 p.m. Upon arrival, police said the store employee was talking with her children when two armed men entered the store.

Police said the first suspect pointed a shotgun at the employee and demanded money from the cash register. The employee, according to police, complied with the demands and the suspects took off with the cash.

A vehicle was not heard by the store employee.

The first suspect is described as a black male, six feet tall and weighing about 185-200 pounds. He was wearing a black hoodie, black ski mask, black jeans and black tennis shoes. The second suspect is decribed as being 5'6"-5'8", wearing a blue hoodie, black mask and blue jeans.

An undisclosed amount of money was taken, police said.

Police are currently investigating if this case and the robbery in the 3100 block of Western are connected or not.
