Have you ever sat up late at night and thought, "I would love to have a taco, but instead of a taco shell, I want a big 'ol Nacho Cheese Dorito?"
If you have, then Taco Bell heard your plea.
Starting at midnight on March 8th, Taco Bell restaurants across the nation rolled out the new Doritos Locos Tacos.
"There's been a tremendous consumer anticipation around the launch of Doritos Locos Tacos, and without a doubt it's gonna be the biggest launch in Taco Bell history." said Greg Creed, CEO, Taco Bell Corp.
Fans across the nation patiently waited for the midnight release, following a countdown clock on tacobell.com.
The taco is exactly the same as the regular tacos, with beef, lettuce and cheese, but it's now nestled snugly in a taco shell made out of a Nacho Cheese Doritos chip.
You can also get a Doritos Locos Tacos Supreme, with tomato and sour cream.
"We have a long history of innovation and only Taco Bell and Frito Lay will be the first brands to introduce a taco shell made out of Doritos Nacho Cheese." said Creed.
In Amarillo, hungry taco aficionados can try one at the Taco Bell locations at 45th & Bell and Ross Osage.
