AMARILLO, TEXAS -- The Amarillo Police Department is searching for two suspects involved in an armed robbery.

It happened around 4:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon at the Walmart at 5730 W. Amarillo Blvd.

Police tell Pronews 7 that a white male was stopped exiting the store for shoplifting.

Officials say he was cooperating with Walmart employees, until he pulled out a knife and fled on foot.

No one was hurt and it's unclear what items he made off with.

The first suspect is described as a white male with short brown hair, 5'10" tall. He was wearing a plaid button down shirt with blue jeans.

Police say he has tattoos on his arms.

He was seen getting into a two-door dark colored vehicle.

The male was with a female, police are looking for her as well.

She is described as 5'6" tall with long brown hair. She was wearing a black t-shirt, blue jeans, black flip-flops and carrying a light brown purse.

Police believe she left on foot.

If you see someone fitting either or both these descriptions, you're asked to call 9-1-1.
